Residence Permit is a very important ID card that allows you to reside in Turkey more than 90 days.

Only after you obtaining a valid insurance the Online Residence Permit Appointment can be taken. 

Residence Permit

Residence Permit is a very important ID card that allows you to reside in Turkey more than 90 days. You have to take an Online Appointment  after your arrival in order to start the Residence Permit process. Most current information is here. 

Required Documents For Residence Permit:

1.Online Application Form (You will prepare this form after your arrival)

2. Passport Photocopy - The Identity Page and the page that shows your arrival date/stamp (Having a Passport is mandatory to obtain a Residence Permit)

3. 4 Photos (Please bring them with you and write your name at the back of each photo.)

4. Student Certification (Yeditepe University will provide this document after your arrival)

5. Residence Permit Card Payment Receipt (Payment is made after your arrival - average 75-100 TL)

6. Health Insurance (In Turkish -see the tab "Insurance")

7. Address Information Sheet

International Erasmus Office will collect your documents and take them to the Immigration Office within 30 days of your arrival. 

You do not need a residence permit if you have a Turkish Citizenship or Blue Card.​

Insurance

Only after you obtaining a valid insurance the Online Residence Permit Appointment can be taken. 

The Immigration Office requires an insurance from a Turkish Company or a company that has branches in Turkey. Your Insurance Policy Documents must be in Turkish. If your Insurance Provider has a branch in Turkey please ask for a document that is in Turkish.

INSURANCE OVERVIEW      According to immigration laws of the Republic of Turkey – 

  • Proof of health insurance coverage policy is required for obtaining the Student Resident Permit 
  • It is essential and obligatory that all students have valid insurance coverage for the total duration of their studies while registered at Yeditepe University.
  • Students must be covered at the time of entering Turkey and throughout their stay until the end of the study duration period.
  • This is a government requirement: the university and international office can only offer recommendation.
