Call for Application
Yeditepe University is pleased to announce the 2026 Türkiye–Korea Global Green Challenger Program (between 20 – 24th of July 2026 at Yeditepe Universtiy campus), an international education cooperation initiative conducted in partnership with five Korean universities led by Inha University.
This program aims to foster international collaboration and support innovative student-led solutions addressing global and local climate challenges.

Program Overview
The program brings together students from Yeditepe and Participating Korean Universities to:
- Develop joint projects on global climate change response
- Participate in field visits to climate change-affected areas in Türkiye
- Attend lectures by environmental experts
- Take part in a climate-focused hackathon competition and workshop
- Engage in cultural exchange activities
- Official Language: English

- Duksung Women’s University
- Chosun University
- University of Ulsan
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a registered Yeditepe University student
- Have a minimum CGPA of 2.50/4.00
- Have taken or currently be enrolled in SUST 301
The program is open to students from all academic disciplines.
Number of Participants
Up to 8 Yeditepe University students will be selected.
(The final number depends on the number of selected Korean students.)
Selection & Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- CGPA (converted to a 100-point scale)
- 20% of a valid English language score (if submitted)
- Participation in an environmental project (+20 points)
- Experience in SDG Student Hub (+20 points)
Application Documents
Mandatory:
- Official transcript (must include SUST 301)
Optional (for additional evaluation points):
- Valid English language certificate
- Certificate of participation in an environmental project
- Proof of involvement in SDG Student Hub
(Important Note: You may not get the points unless you’ll upload proving documents)

Yeditepe University Erasmus Exam
- Minimum score: 60/100
- Valid for two years
National Exams
- YDS / e-YDS / YÖKDİL / e-YÖKDİL
- Minimum score: 66/100
TOEFL
- Accepted only from test centers at Yeditepe University, Istanbul Technical University, Middle East Technical University, or Boğaziçi University
- TOEFL IBT: Minimum score 79 (Home Edition not accepted)
- TOEFL PBT: Minimum score 550
Students must upload valid test results to the application form.
Program Outcomes
At the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Analyze the causes and impacts of global climate change and evaluate regional climate challenges through field observations and expert lectures.
- Develop collaborative project proposals addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation using interdisciplinary approaches.
- Apply problem-solving and innovation skills through participation in climate-focused hackathons and workshops.
- Interpret real-world environmental challenges by examining climate change impacts during field visits in Türkiye.
- Communicate and work effectively in international teams while engaging with students from different academic and cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrate increased awareness of sustainability practices and identify potential solutions for global and local environmental issues.
- Enhance intercultural competence and global perspective through academic collaboration and cultural exchange activities between Türkiye and Korea.
All participant are expected to participate fully in the online and physical parts of the program and all participants will receive certificate of participation.
Tentative Timeline
- Application Deadline: 27th of March 2026, 14:00
- Online Preparation : As of April 2026
- On-site – Physical Joint Activities in Türkiye: 20 – 24th of July 2026

Financial Information
- Participation Fee: None
- Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (at the campus cafeterias for 5 days)
- Rooms will be available in the dormitories for students requesting (1000 ₺; per night)
