Collaborative Online Intercultural Learning (COIL)

Join Dr. Victoria Surtees from the University of the Fraser Valley in this interactive workshop which will introduce participants to collaborative online intercultural learning (COIL). We'll explore  project-based learning design principles that foster intercultural awareness and digital collaboration skills to work on real-world challenges. Drawing on examples of existing Business and Arts faculty collaborations, the training will encourage participants to think creatively about project possibilities and leveraging collaboration for transformative learning. Faculty participants will also have the opportunity to complete a matching form to be paired with a UFV faculty member for a potential future COIL collaboration.
