This activity covers projects that enable higher education institutions to establish partnerships with higher education institutions in third countries that are not affiliated with the program and to carry out student and staff (academic and administrative) mobility.
Almost all countries other than the 27 EU member countries (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greek Cypriot Administration, Croatia, Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Greece) and non-EU program countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Turkey) are called “Partner Countries”. When applying for a KA171 project, the countries where mobility is desired are specified and the requested information is provided in the application form.
The main objectives of the activity are determined as supporting the personal development and employability of higher education students, supporting the professional development of staff working in higher education institutions and developing the capacities and international dimension of higher education institutions. In addition, the activity is designed to serve the purposes of supporting individuals in acquiring competencies such as knowledge, skills and behavior, strengthening foreign language competence, increasing awareness and understanding of different cultures and countries, developing a sense of European citizenship, establishing international communication networks and ensuring the recognition of competencies gained during periods of study abroad.
GLOBAL - International Exchange Programs can be carried out in European and non-European countries within the scope of bilateral agreements. With the MOU (Memoranda of Understanding) and SEA (Student Exchange Agreement) bilateral agreements signed by our university with prestigious universities in various countries, Yeditepe University students can benefit from this semester exchange program.
- Students who want to benefit from this program should follow the announcements of the Global Application Calls and apply through KION on the specified dates. Click to learn how to use the KION system.
- The Global Program does not provide the financial support system offered by the Erasmus+ program. Expenses such as visa, insurance, transportation and accommodation are the responsibility of the student.
- MOU and SEA agreements are different agreements from Erasmus+ agreements. While Erasmus+ agreements are made on a departmental basis, bilateral agreements are made both on a departmental basis and covering all similar departments of universities. In this case, students should examine the universities' own websites in detail to obtain comprehensive information about the exchange programs.
- For department and course matching, students must meet with their Global-Erasmus Academic Coordinators.
